On Friday, Easton turned 7! There is something about your oldest on their b-day. I can't believe that we have been parents for this long and still don't know what we are doing. Next year, we are will be planning for his baptism. It really goes by fast. For the day, we woke up singing Happy Birthday, and Jasen made Easton's favorite breakfast, waffle sticks. Then he went off to school and had some festivities. We picked him up early to go eat pizza and to a movie. He is pretty easy to please that way, not needing a lot of entertainment. Well, he did ask if he could go to Chuckie Cheese but I couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't get sick. He opened his presents( he got the nintendo ds with some games, and the Star Wars movies. We finished everything up with Oreo milkshakes and the Polar Express with his cousins.
Some little facts about our boy:
Easton can eat more than me, hands down
He has an amazing freakish memory, especially dates and numbers
He loves to be outside, doing anything in any weather
Easton has so much energy that I wish I could have some( that's why he needs to be outside)
He has a love for everyone that walks into our home and he gets this hysterical laugh that is truly contagious.
We are so blessed to have him in our family.

Not so good at this
Obviously, I'm not very good at keeping up with the blog. I love to glance at others but to sit down and write something that even makes sense seems a bit much at the end of the day. Then, I have to add pics and well maybe I'm just lazy with it all. I do appreciate those who are diligent in writing cause I enjoy it.

Jasen and I
I wanted to do a Spotlight blog for those who are interested. I will start with Jasen and I to let you know what is going on with us.
Jasen and I have been married for almost 8 years. We lived in North Carolina for four years and then have lived in his home state for the last 3 1/2 years. We moved back here for a job in Construction Management but changed jobs in January and now works for a Commerical Plumbing Company as their Office Manager. He really enjoys working from home and I enjoy him being off on Fridays. Jasen is the financial clerk at church and I am in the Primary Presidency. We enjoy anytime that we can be together as our three kids keep things pretty intense. Our favorite shows are The Office and House. We try to make some time for our hobbies; he hunts and I enjoy making books. My days usually consist of reading, cleaning, organizing, driving, yoga, running, and trying to keep up. The theme on our header is something that Jasen says to me(usually when I'm annoyed) reminding me that he is not perfect, just perfect for me, I totally agree.

Police, Take Me Away!
Well, I would like to explain just how interesting my day can be. I was making cookies for the kids(of course) when Easton kept begging me for more. I told him no, so he takes one anyway and I told him to go to his room. Now, since he has started 1st grade he has had an attitude problem, so he didn't go nicely. Well, I went back in his room about a minute later to talk when I heard him calling the" police". He was dialing numbers(whose I don't know) but was saying that he wanted them to come pick me up and take me away. He gave them my full name just in case there was any confusion. Did I mention that I feel so appreciated? Well, I took the phone away and let him think about that one. I came back to the kitchen and Emma said, " mom, I always listen and Easton never does, and I love you. Thanks Emma.

7 Days and Counting
Well, it's been a whole week since we turned off the t.v. and the kids have not even noticed. The dish company kept raising their rates and we felt that we didn't watch as much as we were paying. The kids have watched movies but have not asked to watch their one or two shows they enjoy. All in all it's been good for our family.

I finally have a blog!
After much persuasion, I decided to take the plunge. I never felt like I had anything exciting to say and didn't want to bore you half to death with my dailys. Well, guess what?! I still don't have anything exciting to say but my kids sure are cute and they will keep you entertained.
